For those of you that saw the awesome story about Drew Jarvis, the boy with Down Syndrom in Akron Ohio who just loves my show/dvd, here is the happy follow up story to that. If you have not seen the first video please watch it now here .
Isnt that awesome!??! . Well I kept in touch with Drew's Mom Shannon and when I got out to Ohio I made plans to meet Drew!! So I had Shannon bring Drew to the Comedy Club one day while I was setting up, along with his little brither Alex. Drew and Alex spent some time with me meeting my birds and seeing all my magic stuff, we also rehearsed what would be Drew's big Stage Magic Debut. see the video at the end of this blog. I then took the boys to McDonald's for lunch and it was so cool Drew is used to watching me on his tv every day so, me being there he kept reaching over and running his hand down my arm or hugging me, it was so cool. He must have asked me at least 50 times! "You the Eggman?" LOL, "Yeah Drew I'm the EGGMAN" that's his favorite routine of mine!! (mine too BTW).
SO i performed every night at the Funny Stop comedy club and then came Saturday , time for the family show i do there in the afternoon so people who have seen me all week can bring their kids. IT WAS PACKED!! I had done radio shows telling the story about Drew etc, and then the time came for the floating table and for Drew to help me!! the crowd went wild! The family sent me this video via text message so its poor quility. I was waiting on a disc in the mail but there has been a delay due to some personal family issues and i wanted to get this out so now go watch the REAL magic of Drew Jarvis RIGHT HERE talk about doing selfless acts that make ya feel good about what ya do!!! MAN!!!! Awesome!!!
Summer 2013
I left the FLorida Keys about a month ago and began working my way to Cape Cod. I spent two weekends in NC and had a bunch of great shows, I also booked a couple more there for my way home in Sept. My second stop was Akron Ohio where I headlined The Funny Stop Comedy Club for a week. I like this gig, it starts out slow: One show Tuesday-Thurs night , then two on Friday night and three shows on Saturday including a family friendly show in the afternoon. For those of you wondering , yes I got to meet Drew , The boy from my Michael Trixx Impersonator video. It was great and I will be doing a special blog just about that when I get the video footage I am awaiting in the mail...
Since Ohio I have been on Cape Cod visiting family and in Newton MA, at my best friend's house, enjoying some time off. I do have some shows coming up, Mostly Private shows and I am performing at my High School Reunion August 4th!!! Looking forward to this. Then off to Vegas, this is my birthday gift to myself. I'll be attending MAGIC LIVE, which is a magic convention put on by MAGIC magazine then I'll be performing at Jeff McBride's Wonderground on August 15 at the Olive Mediterranean in Las Vegas.
I do have one show open to the public while in MA. it is at Archie's Little River Ale House is Haverhill MA on Thursday August 29 . tickets are $30.00 and include Dinner and Show featuring my friend, Comedy Magician Phil Volonino opening the show with a 45 minute set then me doing my full 45 minute show as well. On The Road Again
Well It's that time of year again! After peforming 6 nights a week for the past nine months here in the beautiful Florida Keys I performed my final show of the season at Lorelei last night. I spent today loading my trailer with my Motorcyle, all my magic gear and clothes I will need for the next 2.5 months on the road. the next two weekends (fri and Sat) I will be performing at The Trailer Bar in Surf City NC while staying with my buddy Chris Bellamy in Willmington NC. After that, its off to Cuyahoga Falls Ohio to headline The Funny Stop Comedy Club for a week (tuesday thru Sat) with 8 shows including an afternoon show for the kids on Saturday July 20.THen straight home to Cape Cod where I am excited to be performing at my 25th! High School Reuinion. I've got a few private parties, a few public shows in the Boston area and a trip with a show in Vegas all mixed in there so please feel free to check my schedule for upcoming shows. Its always nice to head out after a long, busy season here in the Keys but after 2.5 months on the road I'm SO ready to come back.. breaks it up just right! Man am I lucky!!!!
